Neither academically nor professionally, this is just my personal amateurish exploration to fulfill my curiosity. These maps are made simply from relatively short textual input, without learning specifically from a given artwork. Even without applying the most advanced generative-AI techniques, I assume these outputs could generally represent a decent level of AI-generated maps, at least for now. I hope such practice could be inspiring and also cautionary, driving cartographers including me to re-evaluate our uniqueness.
