· This is an interactive edition of award-winning static map The United States of the Blooming Risks. Using FEMA’s National Risk Index (NRI) dataset, this map aggregates the county-level risk scores of 18 natural hazards, to 1K-square-mile hexagons across the 50 states, and builds multivariate visualizations with functionalities of layer toggling and spatial query (clicking or searching).
