This is an early-stage exploration of LEGO mapping project with minimalism design. I would dedicate this LEGO style map to my "American hometown", GEORGIA.

The terrain is represented at five levels in elevation, with differently raised layers and tiles in topographic color scheme. Major lakes are displayed in blue, and a major city layer is added using star symbols. In this map, each 1*1 LEGO unit represents 8*8 square miles horizontally.

Based on this graphic, I created a 3D LEGO model and generated a simple map below:

Recently, I physically built this map on a 48-by-48-stud LEGO baseplate with sorrunding states and ocean. Additionally, I added the five historical capitals of Georgia, and labeled them aside, together with their start years.
