30-Day Map Challenge is a daily social mapping project happening every November. The idea is to create maps based around different themes each day of November using the hashtag #30DayMapChallenge. Check out my 17 entries in 2024.

Wrapping up 2025 with a summary of my #30DayMapChallenge, which actually took two months to complete. After grouping the entries, LEGO clearly dominates with 12 maps, followed by traditional GIS workflows with 11, then craft and painting with 6, plus one AI generated map.
Notably, over one third of my entries involved AI, ranging from data processing and text polishing to graphic generation and more complex narrative and visual design. As we step into 2026, I expect we are entering an era where AI tools become increasingly practical and genuinely helpful in cartography.
I posted them using #30DayMapChallenge on LinkedIn and Instagram with detailed introduction, and simplified version on X and Bluesky due to the length limit. I didn't finished them all in November, and some were posted in December, and not chronologically.
