Map-making in Seal-Carving Calligraphy

Engraving maps on sealstone material as image stamps: China, Wisconsin, and Zibo

As an amateurish calligrapher with specialty in seal stone carving, namely, Zhuanke 篆刻. I only tried carving several maps, and I will carve more in the future.

Below is a map of Wisconsin with a star symbol representing Madison:

Below is a map of China with concaved "GIS" on it (together with a regular calligraphic seal):

Below is another seal of "GIS" in a round shape, which I carved to celebrate the 25th GIS Day (Nov 20, 2024).

In 2024, to celebrate the grand centennial of Sun Yat-sen University (where I got my bachelor's degree), I carved a seal of "山高水长" (Soaring Peaks, Everlasting Streams), representing the spirit of SYSU, and embeded it into a memorial map.
